Submit a tool

Think we have missed something? Put it in the queue

Anyone can submit a tool: makers, users, or people who just found something better. Submissions are free, they cannot be paid for, and getting in the queue is not a promise of a good score.

What happens next

From submission to hub

01

Triage

We check the tool is live, has a public price and solves a job one of our categories covers.

02

Queue

It joins the next test cycle for its category. Cycles run continuously, so the wait is usually weeks, not months.

03

Test

We buy a seat and run the same 40 tasks every other tool in that hub has already been through.

04

Publish

If it earns a place it goes into the hub with its score and real monthly cost. If it does not, we tell you why.

What we need

Give us enough to test it properly

  • A public pricing page. If the price is “contact sales” only, we cannot compare it fairly and will usually skip it.
  • The job it is for. One sentence describing the task a buyer would hire it to do.
  • What it replaces. Tell us which incumbent it is a credible alternative to, and we will test it in that hub.
  • Data handling docs. A link to where you explain storage, retention and training use.

We do not need a demo, a free account, or a call. We will buy a seat like everybody else.

Opens your email app with the details filled in. Submissions are free and cannot be paid for — see the editorial standards.

Ground rules

Things worth knowing first

Does submitting improve our chances of a good review?
It improves your chances of being tested at all. It has no effect on the score. Plenty of submitted tools end up ranked below products that never contacted us.
Can we pay to skip the queue?
No. There is no paid tier for testing, listing or placement, and offering payment is the quickest way to be deprioritised.
What if the tool is not a fit for any hub?
We will tell you. Sometimes a submission becomes the seed for a new category instead, which is how several of our current hubs started.
We are pre-launch. Should we wait?
Yes. We only test products that anyone can sign up for and pay for today, because that is the only version a reader can actually buy.

Not a maker, just a user?

Tell us what you switched to and why. Reader tip-offs are how we find the tools vendors never pitch.
